It is situated on a sheltered south facing slope with 4 acres of vines.
The wines are made from a blend of traditional English varieties. Harvested in late October, the grapes are destalked, crushed and macerated for a few days before gentle pressing in a basket press.
Fermenting for three weeks, the must is then rested over the winter while it clears. Bottling is then carried out in May. All the wines are classified by the European Union as 'English Table Wine'. If you would like details of these wines, or wish to visit the Vineyard, please contact Peter or Sue Rostron on 01398 351486. |
